For Solo Piano

I started a little series on Youtube to motivate myself to experiment for fun with various compositional ideas called “Theory Playtime", this piece is from Episode 1. This series started from my fond recollection of writing composition and theory projects in college, so I gave an assignment to one of my more advanced theory classes to write a piano work that utilizes the majority of the concepts discussed in that semester’s class: Binary or Ternary Form, Borrowed Chords, Secondary Chords, Augmented 6th chords, figures/motives, and modulation. So this was my example project, much more lavishly composed than I expected my students to do.
